Here are a couple paintings I made recently. This one is a cover-up of a painting I made a few years ago and never really liked. I usually like to paint without a plan, so I have a lot of used canvases lying around. You can see a lot of texture from the former painting peeking through.

I painted this about a month ago. I started out painting different sections of blue and cream that sort of blended into each other. It looked kind of sad and pale until I started adding in different shades of dots and circles. The bright orange squares really bring the painting to life.

It’s definitely quirky, and sort of reminds me of a bunch of safety orange parachutes in the sky.
